On May 16, 2009, at his pro debut, Evan Centopani won first place at the New York Pro show at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center in New York. In a February 8, 2010, interview with Shawn Ray on MD Radio, Centopani announced that he would be taking the 2010 season off, and that he would not compete again until the 2011 Arnold Classic.

Within six months, she began competing in bodybuilding and was able to achieve pro card status at the 1996 NPC Nationals. This was a very high achievement for Pariso as by doing this she had become the oldest (at the age of 40) woman to earn an IFBB Pro card.
In July 1998, at the NPC USA Championships in Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Nevada, she edged out Foster by one point in the final tally after having shared first place judging votes with her to go on and win the heavyweight, overall, and IFBB pro card at the age of 23 years old and 150 lb (68 kg).
