Removes duplicate values from an array. This function is only designed to work with standard arrays: keys that are not positive integers are ignored, as are all values after the first nil value. (For arrays containing nil values, you can use compressSparseArray first.) The function tries to preserve the order of the array: the earliest non ...
While Lua allows the true and false boolean values, wikicode templates can only express boolean values through strings such as "yes", "no", etc. This module processes these kinds of strings and turns them into boolean input for Lua to process. It also returns nil values as nil, to allow for distinctions between nil and false. The module also ...
This module provides a framework for making templates which produce a template test case. While test cases can be made manually, using Lua-based templates such as the ones provided by this module has the advantage that the template arguments only need to be input once, thus reducing the effort involved in making test cases and reducing the possibility of errors in the input.
This template is used to indicate that a template uses one or more Lua modules (pages in the Module: namespace). It is placed at the top of the template's /doc page. It automatically adds a floating right notification box, and it adds the template to Category:Lua-based templates or to one of its subcategories.
The module itself must return a Lua table of values. A Lua table is expressed as a list of values separated by commas, within curly braces. When the module is called by #invoke, the function it names (the first argument after |) is looked for in that table. That function, in turn, is expected to return something that can be represented as a string.
For a regular array, with non-nil values from 1 to a given n, its length is exactly that n, the index of its last value. If the array has "holes" (that is, nil values between other non-nil values), then #t can be any of the indices that directly precedes a nil value (that is, it may consider any such nil value as the end of the array). E. F. Codd mentioned nulls as a method of representing missing data in the relational model in a 1975 paper in the FDT Bulletin of ACM-SIGMOD.Codd's paper that is most commonly cited with the semantics of Null (as adopted in SQL) is his 1979 paper in the ACM Transactions on Database Systems, in which he also introduced his Relational Model/Tasmania, although much of the other proposals from ...
