Telephone numbers in Kosovo. The dialing code for Kosovo is +383. It was assigned by the ITU following an agreement between the authorities of Kosovo and Serbia in an EU-led dialogue. [1] Its dialing code was initially expected to become effective on 1 January 2015, but it was postponed to the finalization of the agreement in late August 2015. [2]
This is a list of heritage NATO country codes. Up to and including the seventh edition of STANAG 1059, these were two-letter codes (digrams). The eighth edition, promulgated 19 February 2004, and effective 1 April 2004, replaced all codes with new ones based on the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 codes.
The two-letter country codes were used by the US government for geographical data processing in many publications, such as the CIA World Factbook. The standard is also known as DAFIF 0413 ed 7 Amdt. No. 3 (Nov 2003) and as DIA 65-18 ( Defense Intelligence Agency , 1994, "Geopolitical Data Elements and Related Features").
