The Adventures of Superboy is a proposed TV series that was put into production in 1961. [1] It was meant to capitalize on the success of Adventures of Superman, which went out of production in 1958. Only a pilot episode ("Rajah's Ransom") [2] [3] was produced, although 12 additional scripts had been prepared, had the series been picked up.

The 1960s cartoon shorts of The Adventures of Superboy however were omitted from the release, due to a battle between Warner Bros. Entertainment and the estate of Jerry Siegel over the rights to the Superboy name that occurred during the time. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment released seasons 2 & 3 on DVD in Region 1 in June 2014. [11]
