The National Sports Journalism Center is a sports journalism program run by Indiana University and a resource center for sports media professionals. The college traces its origins to 1925 when the Department of Journalism was formed in Language Hall (now Anderson Hall). Orland K. "O.K." Armstrong was the first head of the department. OSJ offers a distance and online program in journalism with a recommended duration of one year which can be extended to two years. The course leads to a Certificate in Journalism according to ISCED Level 4. The journalism program is authorized by the ZFU, a German state agency for distance education. [2] [3]
