The Newark Light Rail is equivalent to a one-zone bus ride: a one-way ticket costs $1.80 (as of July 1, 2024), and is valid on the entire system for one hour after the ticket is validated. A special $0.85 "Underground" fare is available for trips that use only the subway between Warren Street and Penn Station, not the surface portion.
