James A. Garfield National Historic Site is located in the city of Mentor (Lake County) in northeast Ohio, 25 miles east of Cleveland. The Site includes the home of James and Lucretia Garfield and several outbuildings.
Visitor Center and grounds open 10 am - 5 pm. Daily guided house tours between 10 am and 5 pm. The last tour will begin between 3 pm and 4pm. Call the morning of your visit for specific tour times. Groups of 6 or more require reservations. Call 440-255-8722.
James A Garfield National Historic Site. The first presidential memorial library welcomes visitors on the guided house tour. Rangers and volunteers lead visitors through the beautifully restored Victorian-era home of President and Mrs. James A. Garfield.
