Thanks for all the replies. I'll have to look for the tag later. It's not the Smart key, it's just the normal locking fob. I kept the car key separate from the fob. Luckily I was still able to get into the car with just the key and the alarm did not go off and there was no engine kill mechanism and could drive home (haha!).
The full smart key FOB kits come with a blank physical key that needs to be cut. I didn't bother looking into whether locksmiths can cut or duplicate the physical key. I let the dealership do both the smart key programming and physical key cutting at the same time. I've been using the cheap FOB from South Korea for about a year now, with zero ...
The design of 3-button remote key fob shown in your photo is common for Hyundai cars. My 2021 i20 SE Connect has a visually identical fob, but what's inside it may differ significantly from what's inside your 2010 i10's existing fob.

This video relates to an i10 key-fob that matches Bobby Boy's description. My 2021 i20 has the same key-fob and (because I've just tried it) removing the section of the fob that covers the battery is possible 'by hand' as shown from 0.54 minutes into the video.
However, the instructions in the video that you posted do not work for my 2016 Sonata key fob. It doesn't have a pull-out key. When I press the little button, a key flips out. And the cover appears to be glued to the rest of the fob (at least I can't pull it apart because I'm stretching the plastic almost to its breaking point).
Do NOT pry the Fob open with a screwdriver or the Key. (Don't ask how I know). 2. Pry open with a coin. A quarter fits perfect in the slot. The rear of the Fob pops open. 3. Remove old 2032 battery. Note that the battery has the plus side down in the holder. 4.Snap new battery into holder, plus side down. 5. Snap rear of Fob back onto main part ...
Both the owner's manual instructions, and service manual smart key programming instructions, state that only 2 smart keys (non flip key) can be programmed to a car. I'm looking to replace my 2nd smart key too. For the smart key, physical key cutting, and programming labor, I've gotten dealer quotes between $500-$700 CAD. Yikes!
1. How many key fobs one can have registered at the same time? 2. If I get this blank fob/key from ebay (as I researched and with push button start you can't re-program fobs), will my first fob work along with this one or I'd have to buy as many as I need because the other will be deactivated at the time of programming? 3.
