Pokémon Legends: Arceus [a] is a 2022 action role-playing game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for the Nintendo Switch. It is part of the eighth generation of the Pokémon video game series and serves as an interquel to Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (2021).
Arceus arrives to collect the Jewel of Life from Marcus' scepter, but Sheena is fooled into betraying Arceus when the scepter is empty. Arceus is forced into a pit and is wounded by silver water and electrical attacks, which Arceus became vulnerable to after it gave Damos the jewel. Marcus' intention is to kill Arceus himself to save the future.
