The 2023–24 Liga 1 (also known as the 2023–24 BRI Liga 1 for sponsorship reasons) [1] was the 7th season of Liga 1 under its current name and the 14th season of the association football, the top Indonesian football league since its establishment in 2008. The season started on 1 July 2023 and ended on 31 May 2024.

At the beginning of the 2006–07 season the competition was forced to change its name from Divizia A to Liga I due to a trademark dispute over the name. [2] The change was made on 15 May 2006, and the Romanian Football Federation decided to also rename the lower leagues; thus Divizia B became Liga II, Divizia C became Liga III, and so on. [2]
The 2024–25 Liga I, known officially as the SuperLiga Romania, is the 107th season of Liga I, the top football league in Romania. The season will start on 12 July 2024. [ 1 ] The newcomers are Unirea Slobozia who are making their debut in Liga I and Gloria Buzău who returned to Liga I after a 15-year absence.
