Pulsus paradoxus can be caused by several physiologic mechanisms. Anatomically, these can be grouped into: [1] cardiac causes, pulmonary causes and; non-pulmonary and non-cardiac causes. Considered physiologically, pulsus paradoxus is caused by: [citation needed] decreased right heart functional reserve, e.g. myocardial infarction and tamponade,

Pulsus paradoxus: A pulsus paradoxus is an exaggerated decrease in systolic blood pressure during inspiration. It can indicate certain medical conditions in which there is reduced cardiac output, such as cardiac tamponade or constrictive pericarditis. Also known as the Pulse Paradox.
Pulsus alternans is a physical finding with arterial pulse waveform showing alternating strong and weak beats. [1] It is almost always indicative of left ventricular systolic impairment , and carries a poor prognosis.
Pulsus paradoxus is a phenomenon in which systolic blood pressure drops by 10 mmHg or more during inspiration. In cardiac tamponade, the pressure within the pericardium is significantly higher, hence decreasing the compliance of the chambers (the capacity to expand/ conform to volume changes).
The Times story also cited a buprenorphine study by researchers in Sweden that looked at “100 autopsies where buprenorphine had been detected.” According to the Times, the study found that “in two-thirds, it was the direct cause of death, mostly in combination with other drugs.” It was a misreading of the study.
Beck's triad is a collection of three medical signs associated with acute cardiac tamponade, a medical emergency when excessive fluid accumulates in the pericardial sac around the heart and impairs its ability to pump blood.
Men (and women) can go bald for several different reasons. Genetics are a major cause, while stress, diet, lifestyle choices, certain medications and age can also cause people to experience hair loss.
