Silver Lake is a reservoir in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. [1] It is located within Amador County. It is about 20 mi (32 km) south of South Lake Tahoe and about 8 miles (13 km) west of Carson Pass. [2] The lake surface is 525 acres (212 ha) at full capacity and is at an elevation of 7,200 feet (2,200 m). [3]
Silver Lake State Park is a 2,936-acre (1,188 ha) public recreation area bordering Lake Michigan and Silver Lake, four miles (6.4 km) west of Mears in Oceana County, Michigan. The state park is composed of mature forest land and over 2,000 acres (810 ha) of sand dunes .
These include the June Lake Junction and Pine Cliff Resort to the northeast of June Lake; Silver Lake Resort; the Silver Lake Recreation Residence Tract; and the Grant Lake Campground and Marina. At the northern junction of the Loop road with U.S. Highway 395 is the Cain Ranch, on property owned by the City of Los Angeles.
The Silver Lake Recreation Area is a park for people of all ages, and is located northeast of the lake. [6] Holiday Park Campground is a large private campground on the southern end of the lake, just off of US 31. It has boat access and has RV camping lots surrounding the lake. [7] Annually, there are regattas and fishing competitions on the lake.
The lake itself is 3,000 acres (12 km 2) in size and camping is available at Seaquest State Park, which occupies 475 acres (192 ha) along 1 mile (1.6 km) of the lakeshore. Camping, fishing, and boating also available at Silverlake Resort, Silver Cove RV Resort, Streeters Resort, and Mt. St. Helens RV Resort.
Silver Lake State Park is a 35-acre (14 ha) state park in Barnard, Vermont. It is situated on the northern shoreline of the 84-acre Silver Lake and offers swimming, picnic areas and camping. [ 1 ] Other activities include fishing, paddling and winter sports.
