North Habersham High School (closed 1970) North Habersham High School was in Clarkesville, Georgia, and originally served the northern part of the county. Habersham County is a county in the Northeast region of the U.S. state of Georgia.As of the 2020 census, the population was 46,031. [1] The county seat is Clarkesville. [2] The county was created on December 15, 1818, and named for Colonel Joseph Habersham of the Continental Army in the Revolutionary War.
The Habersham County School District holds pre-school to grade twelve, and consists of eight elementary schools, three middle schools, and two high schools. [16] The district has 367 full-time teachers and over 5,955 students. [17] North Georgia Technical College is located in Clarkesville.

In 1987, the name was changed to North Georgia Technical Institute. The Clarkesville Campus of North Georgia Technical College is located in a mountain setting off Georgia Highway 197, one and a half miles north of Clarkesville, the county seat of Habersham County. It spans over 339 acres, with the campus itself covering approximately 40 acres.
