I recently purchased and installed a Kohler Cimarron with the Drylock system. Once I got it all installed and added water to the tank, the water flowed out of the tank as though there were no gaskets. Seems the Flush Valve inside the tank is loose and the leak is from the between the valve and the procelain.
Kohler Cimarron I bought and installed a Kohler Cimarron toilet about a month ago. The spec sheet calls for the tank to be 3/4" off the wall with a 12 inch offset. My tank is about 2 1/4" offthe wall with the 12 inch offset. I guess we ill live with it. Walls are plumb so that is not an issue. Toilet flushs good but does not clean well at all.
I have a Kohler toilet (only about 2 years old) with the "silent fill" valve. When flushing, the float cup drops as the water goes out but then the refill does not start after it drops. Aug 11, 2018. #1. I need to to replace the fill valve on my Kohler Cimarron toilet. K3489 (Class 5). There are 2 fill valves available, GP1083167 with a black stem, and GP1138930 with grey stem. My plumbing store insists the 1083167 will work, but the Kohler website says if you currently have the one with the grey stem you should replace with ...
So to answer my own question, the bolts for the tank are wider and they have the requisite rectangle shape just below the top before the threading to hold the screw in place. My plumber ended up getting the tank on with the toilet seat bolts somehow but now I'll need another set of bolts to secure the toilet seat as the tank bolts won't fit.
We are down to deciding between the Kohler Adair and the Kohler Cimarron, both in the one piece, 1.28gpf....never had one of these 1.28gpf toilets but I'm assuming they are fine. Outside of the aesthetic differences the main functional differences seem to be these: the Adair has "class 5" flushing technology.
