Grainger spring # 54MY45 - only sold in sets of 10 for $17.30 plus shipping. That pack of ten cost me just over $30 with shipping included. So now y'all where to get the Henry H015 fix spring that will take that 7-8 pound trigger/hammer and make it just over a 3-pound pull - AND lighten the hammer pull at the same time.

I've owned 4 NEF/H&R Handi Rifles (still have 3 of them), so I think I have a pretty good idea what to expect from break-open single shot rifles. And, I think a comparison with the NEF is fair. The bottom line--.

Not many choices, Leupold 56515 base and Leupold VXII 3-9x33 Ultralight scope in low Burris Zee rings work great on my 308 Win.
The answer: At this time Williams does not make their target FP sight for the Henry H015 rifle. The FP-HR-TK for the H&R Handi rifle can be modified to fit, though. Although the scope rail hole spacing [and threads] are the same on both rifles, the holes on the Henry are located farther back which moves the sight rearward.
3) Measure the barrel O.D. @ the muzzle & likewise write the measurement down. 4) Measure the depth of the front sight female dovetail from the top of the barrel there & write it down. 5) Subtract #4 above from #3 above. 6) Subtract the answer to #5 above from #2 above. 7) #6 above is the front sight height needed.

49. Probably 100-150 rounds of 45-70 475 gr. cast with no misfires. The gun is more accurate than I am,but anytime I can hit 3 one gallon milk jugs at 100 yds standing offhand with 6 shots and peep sights is good enough for these 74 yr old eyes. 02-24-2020, 09:57 PM #11.

I reload and shoot 348 Win, 358 Win, 6.5 Grendel, 30-06 Springfield, 300 BLK, 44 Mag, 357 Maximum, 9mm, 45 ACP, 45 Colt, 30 Carbine, and 45-70. Reply Like.
My rifle is the steel frame model. The metal work and the wood work are superb from the factory. I have owned a single shot in .45-70, a Ruger #3. It was so light it kicked like two mules. The Henry is heavier and that is good. You say you are planning to use mostly black powder loads at about 1300 fps.
Henry Single Shot .44. I was in my LGS yesterday to pick up a bolt gun I had ordered and on impulse picked up a Henry .44. He has a very large selection of Henry lever guns and had two of the single shots; the .44 and a .223. Since I was buying 2 guns and he was getting tired of dusting the Henry (it had been sitting there several months) he ...
