Mel Tormé (father) Arlene Miles (mother) Tracy Tormé (April 12, 1959 – January 4, 2024) [ 1 ] was an American screenwriter and television producer, known for his work on the science fiction series Sliders and Star Trek: The Next Generation , [ 2 ] and the film Fire in the Sky .

Tormé was survived by his wife Ali; five children: Steve March-Tormé, Melissa Torme-March, and Tracy, Daisy, and James Tormé; and two stepchildren: Carrie Tormé and Kurt. Tracy was a screenwriter and producer. James Tormé is a jazz vocalist based in Los Angeles, California.
