The twentieth season of the anime television series Naruto: Shippuden is based on Part II for Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga series. The season focuses on Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno and Kakashi Hatake attempting to defeat Madara Uchiha and Zetsu, the ones behind the activation of the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
Madara Uchiha (Japanese: うちは マダラ, Hepburn: Uchiha Madara) is a manga and anime character in the Naruto series created by Masashi Kishimoto.He appears for the first time in "Part II" of the manga and the Shippuden anime adaptation(war arc), and serves as a major antagonist of the series.
The explosion destroys the headquarters, killing Shikaku and Inoichi. Afterwards, Madara outlines his plan to become the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki to Obito. The Ten-Tails launch a barrage of wooden spikes that kill many of the Allied Shinobi Forces' members, including Neji, who dies saving Naruto and Hinata.
As Madara's body reforms from Ōnoki's attack, the Kage are horrified to see a face-growth resembling Hashirama on Madara's chest. Madara reveals this to be the result of augmenting his body with Hashirama’s DNA, expressing his intent to kill Tsunade first on the grounds of being Senju rather on the Kage’s assumption of her being a medic ninja.

In the Japanese anime, Madara (and Obito in his Madara guise) is voiced by Naoya Uchida while Gou Inoue voices him as a child.
