The FRTA is now offering self-scheduling of your transportation up to one week in advance to the General Public! Using our mobile app or our online web portal, you may schedule your own transportation within the following four zones-.
Fares, Passes & Transfers. At the FRTA's Annual Board meeting on May 23, 2024, the Advisory Board agreed to suspend fares on all of its fixed bus route and ADA service through June 30, 2025. This does not apply to our Demand Response or ACCESS transportation. It’s a Go! GoCard! is the smart new way to ride the bus.
Demand Response Service. Demand Response transportation is a curb-to-curb service offered to: persons 60 years or older, eligible LifePath, Inc. consumers, nursing home residents and/or. Veterans with a disability rating of 70% or greater.
Agency Overview. The Franklin Regional Transit Authority (FRTA) was established in 1978 with the provisions of Chapter 161B. The FRTA currently serves 41 communities throughout Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire and Worcester Counties.
How To Ride. Arrive at your bus stop several minutes before the bus is due to arrive. The FRTA picks up and drops off passengers at designated bus stops marked with the FRTA logo. Watch for your oncoming bus. The route number and destination is listed on the electronic signs located on the front and side of the bus.
The FRTA’s ADA Paratransit services are for individuals who are unable to independently ride the FRTA’s accessible fixed-route system and meet one or more of the following criteria:
