Sergio Gabriel Martínez (born 21 February 1975) is an Argentine professional boxer. He has held world championships in two weight classes , including the WBC super welterweight title from 2009 to 2010; and the unified WBC, WBO , Ring magazine and lineal middleweight titles between 2010 and 2014.

In 2015, Martinez was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. He now serves as a studio analyst for TBS and the MLB Network. Martinez has been married to his wife, Carolina, since 2005.

Martinez was born and grew up in Sierra Vista, Arizona, and attended Sunrise Mountain High School, where he played baseball and golf. [1] Over four varsity seasons, he posted a record of 19-4 with a 2.86 ERA and 172 strikeouts over 144 innings. [2] Martinez played college baseball for the Arizona State Sun Devils for three seasons.
