The Chula Vista Nature Center is located inside the refuge. The nature center is oriented towards elementary school children. Inside are terrariums and aquariums. Outside are aviaries containing injured birds. The refuge can only be accessed by bus. At the entrance is a parking lot, where one can wait for the bus to arrive.
