After my Dad died and my Mom moved to a brand new house, it was too late in the process to have a fireplace built as part of the purchase, so she bought a fairly natural-looking artificial electric fireplace with a pretty mantel. She was happy with its appearance, especially as a place to hang Christmas decorations.

Some years ago I did this. My divorced mother-in-law was 51, but in very healthy condition. I knew that she liked to wear thongs, garter belts, stockings, etc. because she showed me. So, being a considerate SIL, I decided to get something she'd really appreciate. For Christmas I bought her a nice set of racey, lacey underwear, for about $200.

This is sort of random, but I thought of this thread when I was at Wal-Mart in Clayton yesterday because they had Oregon Ducks stockings, hats, ornaments and a few other Christmas decorations mixed in with the NC State, UNC and Duke stuff. I thought I'd mention it in case anyone was looking for them since apparently you can find it locally!

  11. What I Miss And Don't Miss About Colorado - (CO) - City-Data...

    www.city-data.com/forum/colorado/3482934-what-i-miss-dont-miss-about.html

Miss eating at Perkins, Longhorn and Waffle House. At Waffle House, had the very best ham/cheese omelet and hashbrowns. Miss going to the Boot Grill in Loveland, wearing our favorite western/rodeo attire and hearing some great bands. Even with the winters we endured, still miss snow/cold weather during Christmas time (when snow happened).
