    Adobe Acrobat has the option to convert a PDF to an image (JPG, PNG or TIFF), but the resulting conversion is terribly poor quality, no matter if you pick Max or Low quality. The result is the same exact low quality reproduction. I agree with the orignal poster, this is a problem with Acrobat. For the price of the subscription, it should just work.

    Adobe Support initially diagnosed a Microsoft Folder issue. Microsoft Support diagnosed Adobe was using the C drive as default (I was trying to save on my D drive). Adobe Support logged on to my machine and found 'compatibility issues'; fixed them, and all is now well.

    Thanks for your prompt reply. I think you have solved the problem for me! When i look into the file properties the picture files show as 'Adobe Acrobat Document (jpg)' whereas a 'normal' Adobe document shows as 'Adobe Acrobat Document (pdf)' However, I looked into the file extension and the default program (following your link).
