Team Durham (formerly Durham University Athletic Union, DUAU) is a student-run organisation responsible for sport at Durham University.Durham University's sports programme, run by Team Durham, has produced more professional sports people than any other UK university (141 as of 2022) and has twice seen Durham named Times and Sunday Times Sports University of the Year (2015 and 2023).
The club rows on the Yare River in Norwich and has its main base at the Whitlingham boathouse on Whitlingham Lane, where is shares facilities with the local rowing and canoeing clubs, Norwich School and Norwich High School. The boathouse is centred 3.5 miles (5.6 km) from the University and the club has the UEA Sportspark on campus.
The Welsh Boat Race is the main training focus before the BUCS Regatta, the start of the "regatta season", where Swansea University Rowing Club race Cardiff University Boat Club side-by-side along a set distance on either the River Taff or the River Tawe.
