Concordia Parish School Board is a school district headquartered in Concordia Parish, Louisiana, United States. The district serves residents of Concordia Parish, i.e. Vidalia, Ferriday, Ridgecrest, and Monterey.
Ferriday is a town in Concordia Parish, which borders the Mississippi River and is located on the central eastern border of Louisiana, United States. With a population of 3,511 at the 2010 census, [2] it is an African-American majority town. The town claims to have produced more famous people per square mile than any other in America.
As of 2018, 98.2% of the student population at Ferriday High School are African-American, making up the majority of the student body. 1.8% are Caucasian. According to the 2000 U.S. Census, 70.2% of Ferriday's students live at or below the poverty line. More than 75% of students receive free or reduced lunch. [4]
