Our mission is to act as rescue partners with North Texas animal shelters by providing veterinary care, in-home fostering, and carefully placed adoptions of small breed dogs. We also take in little dogs from owners who can no longer care for them.
Adopt. If you are interested in adopting one of the dogs through Little Dog Rescue of North Texas, we have a multi-step process. The first step is to fill out the Adoption Application. The second step is a review of the application by volunteers. This can take up to week to happen.
A transporter serves in several capacities: Picking up a rescue dog from a shelter or owner surrender location and delivering the dog to either our veterinarian or a foster home.
A foster home is an approved, temporary living situation for pets in our program while they are awaiting adoption. Foster families provide shelter, care and love. LDRNT provides a kennel, bed, collar, harness, leash, preventatives, probiotics, approved veterinary care and food.
While it is impossible for Little Dog Rescue of North Texas to accept every dog for whom we receive an application for surrender, we do our best to network within our foster program to see if a temporary home can be provided.
LDRNT is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit animal rescue group. Donating to this group will allow us to fulfill our mission of rescuing and finding permanent loving homes for former shelter dogs. 100% of the funds that are donated go directly to the care of our rescues.
