Winter Park is a home rule municipality in Grand County, Colorado, United States. The permanent population was 1,033 at the 2020 census , [ 5 ] although with 2,572 housing units within the town limits [ 7 ] the seasonal population can be much higher.
Stralsund is located close to the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park. Stralsund's city borough includes municipal forest and three municipal ponds (the Knieperteich, Frankenteich and Moorteich. The three ponds and the Strelasund lend the Old Town, the original settlement site and historic centre of the city, a protected island ambience.

The mountain opened for the 1939–40 season as Winter Park Ski Area [4] and was owned and operated by the city and county of Denver until 2002, when Denver entered into a partnership with Intrawest ULC, a Canadian corporation headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, which operated the resort until Intrawest was acquired by Alterra Mountain Company in 2018.

My return trip would depart Winter Park at 4:35 p.m. (right after the ski lifts close) and arrive in Denver around 7 p.m. Boarding was pretty easy. The train has a special compartment for ski gear.
The park was created by Winter Park Resort in an effort to attract urban youth to winter sports. [2] It began as an experimental program and has since seen huge success. It attracted 3,000 youth and adults in its first year and became a model for other ski resort collaborations. The following season, the park attracted over 6,000 visitors.
