Transformers: Prime is an animated television series which premiered on November 29, 2010, on Hub Network, Hasbro's and Discovery's joint venture, which began broadcasting on October 10, 2010, in the United States. The series was also previewed on Hub Network on November 26, 2010, as a one-hour special.
Transformers: Prime (known as Transformers: Prime – Beast Hunters during its third and final season) is an American animated television series based on the Transformers toy franchise by Hasbro that aired on the Hub Network from November 29, 2010, to July 26, 2013.
The Transformers continued in Japan as Transformers: The Headmasters with 35 new episodes, however, it ignores the events of "The Rebirth" and is set in a different continuity. A fifth season was aired in the United States, but consisted entirely of re-runs of previous episodes being told as stories by Powermaster Optimus Prime .
Factory announced that they had acquired the license from Hasbro to release Transformers on DVD in Region 1 with Vivendi Entertainment. They subsequently released The Complete First Season on June 16, 2009. Season Two Volume One was released on September 15, 2009. Season Two Volume Two was released on January 12, 2010. [22]
The series began with a three-part movie-length episode called "Transform and Roll Out!". Stellar cycles (years) after the Autobots won the great war for Cybertron against the Decepticons, an Autobot maintenance crew led by Optimus Prime and consisting of Ratchet, Bulkhead, Prowl, and Bumblebee discover the legendary AllSpark buried on an asteroid.

The episodes of Transformers: Animated are split into a set of 3 seasons, 13 episodes in each with the first season bearing a special movie-length (later divided into a 3-episode showing) beginning. Not long after Megatron's demise and the restoration of Cybertron, the Autobots celebrate as Optimus Prime knights Bumblebee a warrior. Optimus and Wheeljack embark on a journey to find the AllSpark, the source of Cybertronian life, leaving the other Autobots to hunt down the missing Decepticons Shockwave and Starscream.
