The Taiwan Professional Basketball League (TPBL, Chinese: 台灣職業籃球大聯盟) is a professional basketball league in Taiwan composed of 7 teams. It is the fourth Taiwanese professional basketball league after the Chinese Basketball Alliance (CBA; 1994–1999), P. League+ (PLG; founded in 2020), and T1 League (2021–2024).
The following is a list of players, both past and current, who appeared at least in one game for the Taipei Fubon Braves (2014–present), Taiwan Mobile (2007–2014), Videoland Hunters (2004–2007), or Mars (1993–1999, 2003–2004) franchise.
It is the first fully professional basketball league in Taiwan after the Chinese Basketball Alliance (CBA) ceased operations in 2000. [3] [4] The first four teams participating in the inaugural season were the Formosa Taishin Dreamers, [5] the Hsinchu JKO Lioneers, [6] [7] the Taipei Fubon Braves, and the Taoyuan Pilots. [8]
The 2024–25 Formosa Dreamers season is the franchise's 8th season, its first season in the Taiwan Professional Basketball League (TPBL). The Dreamers are coached by Jamie Pearlman in his second year as head coach.
The club then withdrew from mainland China and moved back to Taiwan to join the newly founded SBL there. In the SBL's inaugural 2003–2004 season, the Lions had a second-place finish and was the runner up in the championship series against the Yulon Dinos, their long-time rival in Taiwan.
