Caldwell County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky.As of the 2020 census, the population was 12,649. [1] Its county seat is Princeton. [2] The county was formed in 1809 from Livingston County, Kentucky and named for John Caldwell, who participated in the George Rogers Clark Indian Campaign of 1786 and was the second lieutenant governor of Kentucky.
In 2019, the Kentucky Supreme Court created a Business Court Docket Pilot project in the Jefferson County Circuit Court, effective January 1, 2020. [1] Circuit judges serve in eight-year terms. There are 57 circuits, which may have one or more judges, depending on the population and docket size.

The District was unchanged when Kentucky became a state on June 1, 1792. On February 13, 1801, the Judiciary Act of 1801 , 2 Stat. 89 , abolished the U.S. district court in Kentucky, [ 2 ] but the repeal of this Act restored the District on March 8, 1802, 2 Stat. 132 . [ 2 ]
