Stanford Sierra Camp is a summer camp primarily attended by Stanford University alumni and their children, and acquaintances, at Fallen Leaf Lake, California. [1] The camp consists of a 20-acre (81,000 m 2 ) lakefront mountain property at 6,300' above sea level and is owned and operated by the Stanford University Alumni Association.
The camps focus on nearly two dozen sports. [2] Most camps are held during the summer on college campuses. The SLC is formed from original members of the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League which was the largest MCLA conference in the nation at the time. Because of rapid growth and teams spread out over a very large area, the members decided it was best to start a new conference and the SLC was born August 2008 with the blessing of the WCLL and MCLA.
The California Redwoods are a professional field lacrosse team based in San Diego, California, that competes in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). The team plays its home games at Torero Stadium. The Redwoods began play in the league's inaugural 2019 season.
