No more theaters in Fitchburg. FITCHBURG — Cinema World's seven screens will go black for good on March 31, leaving the city without a movie theater for the first time in nearly three decades.

Fitchburg was the outer terminus of Fitchburg Line service from the closure of Gardner in early 1987 to the opening of Wachusett station in September 2016.
