@Mominohio I couldn't agree more about things being made cheaper and costing more these days.I, too, can remember when I didn't have to worry about Energizer or Duracell batteries leaking but now I have to watch all of them even the better ones.

Until last purchase of batteries we have always used Duracell batteries. i dread what will happen with the "generic" batteries that DH brought home. Both Costco and Sam's carried Duracell batteries. So we have bought many packages over the years. Maybe it was just a bad batch but last time I needed AA batteries I went to the package of Duracell and almost every battery had leaked. And it was a relatively new package. I was surprised. Of the name brand batteries, I also find Duracell don't last as long. I like Walgreens batteries. Candle Impressions usually do well on battery life. As for luminara, the ones that take D batteries do better. At least from my experience. If details aren't give or aren't listed in the item description, I don't buy.
