Select the Picture Tools > Format tab and select Remove Background. From the Background Removal tools: Select Mark Areas to Keep and draw on the areas you'd like to save. Select Mark Areas to Remove to draw around what you'd like to take out. Select Keep Changes when you're done.

The Reset Picture button removes all the formatting you’ve applied to the selected picture since you last saved your document. Select the picture with the formatting you want to remove. In the Picture Tools Format tab’s Adjust group, click Reset Picture.
