I'm somewhat new to fighting games in general. But with 3rd strike I wanted to know more about specific things. When to parry (get good at parrying), predicting movement, when to poke, when to punish, etc. I tried to get good with yun and put in several hours but I get beat consistently by rank D's on fightcade.

The 30th collection is a more barebones package using an emulator and the original arcade roms and has rollback netcode as well. I personally prefer playing 30th over OE but some swear by OE. Either way the best place to find players is fightcade which also uses arcade emulation. 1. Reply.

Fightcade has a training mode built in for third strike, use this frequently. Learning the range and speed of the attacks for your chosen character is something that is best learned outside of a match. Once you get comfortable with what all your buttons do you can start working on some basic combos.
1/ The graphics are so bad that even Alpha 3's is way better. 2/ Pokes have weird hit box you can hardly hit people even on punish. 3/ Parry is a broken system. It destroys the basic guessing game of Street Fighter. 4/ Feels more like KOF than SF.
