The Activision Blizzard Board of Directors doesn't recommend the deal anymore. If the deal doesn't happen, someone has to pay for it :p Activision Blizzard had to pay Microsoft a termination fee of $2,270,100,000 if: MS was still waiting for the ABK stockholders meeting to happen by the termination dates.
Love the Activision Says YOU SUCK patch! ? In the same spirit, be fun to spoof some of these for the underachievers: Beamrider Baby Checkers Chump Dolphin Dummy Double Dragon Dimwit Fishing Derby Dork Freeway Fool H.E.R.O. Zero Kaboom! However, for some reason, Activision mostly mailed out the version that was meant for the Intellivision. It could be that they didn't produce enough of the 2600 version, or they over-produced the Intellivision version. This 2600 half-moon Beamrider is probably the rarest 2600 Activision patch that it is actually feasible to acquire (for a price).
There is always a chance, but it will probably be IF Activision rereleased their classics on multiplatform and included the Atari VCS. The Atari Vault and Vault 2 are nice, but definitely missing third party hits. There are ways though of adding your favorite games to the VCS going the PC mode route.
And today, we officially welcome Activision Blizzard and their teams to Xbox. They are the publishers of some of the most played and most beloved franchises in gaming history across console, PC and mobile. From Pitfall to Call of Duty, World of Warcraft to Overwatch, Candy Crush Saga to Farm Heroes Super Saga, their studios have pushed the ...
Does anyone make reproduction Activision patches? Ive earned patches on 3 games and the patches are expensive and hard to find. I dont need high dollar collectors items, just looking to post up some patches near my game station when theyre earned. Below are my Laser Blast and Seaquest patch scores.
Location:Piedmont Triad. Posted August 4, 2007. Well, there it is, to the best of my ability to ascertain from manuals, databases, and other sources, a complete set of EVERY Activision patch ever released, for all platforms: Atari 2600, 5200/8-bit/Colecovision, Commodore 64, and Intellivision (this is how they are organized left to right).
Both Atari and Activision made some amazing games for the 2600, and both produced some stinkers. But, the great games vastly outweigh the stinkers. Some of my favorite Atari 2600 games are Asteroids, Centipede, Berzerk, River Raid and Pitfall. In fact, I need to get cartridges of both River Raid and Pitfall.
Others definitely on my top 10 would be Megamania, Keystone Kapers, Pitfall, Starmaster, Tennis, and River Raid. You have Laser Blast as an honorable mention; I thought that one was awful. Some people like it, but it was far too repetitive for me. Good video.
Activision originally programmed it, but it was decided that the US market for 2600 games was dying, so they only sold it overseas where the 2600 still had a reasonably strong presence. Salu distributed it overseas. $6 for patch, $2 for decal. Some love for Atari RealSports: $6 for patch, $2 for decal
