XB (Xbox Account B) was linked to AA (Activision Account A) I was trying to unlink these accounts so I could try and re-link the the correct way around. In the end, I basically renamed the Activision Accounts by changing their emails, gamer tag, name and passwords so that the Activision Accounts then matched their already linked XBox accounts.
My main activision account was unlinked and then I linked it to an incorrect activision account by mistake. So I have lost all my warzone gun progress and skins etc So I requested to delete the activision account to break the link ( as I don’t need this account) so I can link it to the correct account.

You may unlink individual platform accounts from an Activision account once every 12 months. Games with cross-progression store game progress on your Activision account, not your platform account. If you choose to link your platform account to another Activision account, your progress will not carry over. Your progress and content aren't lost.
When you login to Activision.com, yclick for your profile info, it displays the exact same info as already in the COD portal. You will see your Activision ID for COD, address, email, etc. then enter your mobile number—this website does add properly to Activision AND your COD account. The COD portal has the glitch.

I ended up opening a ticket with Activision to get control of my account again. Took about 3 weeks of back and forth at odd hours of the night to finally get it back. Put a 2FA on my account and haven’t had any issues again, this was about 2 months ago.
