The Mill Creek Tube is a 22-foot (6.7 m) wide, 19-foot (5.8 m) tall, and 12,280-foot (3,740 m) long, reinforced concrete tube that carries Mill Creek under the city of Erie. [12] Built to prevent another catastrophic flood similar to the one in 1915, the tube was completed in 1923.
