Interstate 27 (I-27 [a]) is an Interstate Highway, entirely in the US state of Texas, running north from Lubbock to I-40 in Amarillo.These two cities are the only control cities on I-27; [5] other cities and towns served by I-27 include (from south to north) New Deal, Abernathy, Hale Center, Plainview, Kress, Tulia, Happy, and Canyon.
It continues east to Durango, where it intersects US 550. After overlapping with US 550 south of Durango, US 160 turns east and meets US 84 at Pagosa Springs . It then goes northeast and crosses the Continental Divide at Wolf Creek Pass , the area made popular in 1975 in C.W. McCall 's album Wolf Creek Pass .

These five highways then entered the traffic circle in downtown Boise City. US 287 emerged from the north side of the circle, as well as US 385 and SH 3. Now US 287 bypasses town to the east. These three highways (US 287, US 385, SH 3) head north to the Colorado state line. SH 3 ends there, while US 287 and US 385 continue onward into Colorado.
