Lauren Helen Graham (born March 16, 1967) [1] is an American actress and author. [2] She is best known for portraying Lorelai Gilmore on The WB dramedy series Gilmore Girls, for which she received several nominations, winning two Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV Parental Unit in 2005 and 2006, and for playing Sarah Braverman on the NBC drama series Parenthood (2010–2015).
