The Word Biblical Commentary (WBC) is a series of commentaries in English on the text of the Bible both Old and New Testament. It is currently published by the Zondervan Publishing Company . Initially published under the "Word Books" imprint, the series spent some time as part of the Thomas Nelson list.
The New Jerome Biblical Commentary was published in 1990 by the same editors as a revised and updated edition. Midrash Tehillim can be divided into two parts: the first covering Psalms 1–118, the second covering 119–150. The first (and earlier) part has much material dating back to the Talmudic period, although its final composition took place between the 7th and 9th centuries AD. The second part appears to have been compiled in 13th century. [2]
