The Silliman University College of Engineering and Design is one of the constituent colleges of Silliman University, a private research university in Dumaguete, Philippines. The college started as the Department of Engineering in 1932, then offering a single course in Civil Engineering.
When Silliman Institute (former name of Silliman University) was founded in 1901, it started as an elementary school; thus, making the Elementary Department the oldest unit in the university. In 1916, the first high school diplomas were awarded, and in 1957–58, funding for an Early Childhood School building was secured.
