Green Valley Ranch opened on December 18, 2001, with 201 rooms and a 50,000 sq ft (4,600 m 2) casino. While a locals casino , the resort was designed with an upscale element. Built at a cost of $300 million, it was Station's most expensive resort up to that point, and the most expensive locals casino in Las Vegas history.
