The Cuvier Press Club was a Cincinnati, Ohio social club created in 1911 when the members of the Cuvier Club merged with the members of the Pen and Pencil Club. [1] From 1911 to 1938, the club was located on Opera Place. In 1938, the club moved to 22 Garfield Place, which would come to be known as the Cuvier Press Club.
The Cuvier Press Club, located at 22 Garfield Place is a historic former house in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. It is also referred to locally as the Fechheimer Mansion and as of 2006 served as the headquarters location for Cincinnati-based firm LPK .
Thus, the idea was to place a few kiddie rides to keep them occupied. The rides became so popular that Maurice decided to acquire the land at 63rd and N.W. Expressway where he built Wedgewood Village (named after the idea of a wedge and wood golf club). It opened in 1958 and lasted until 1969. Most of the rides were sold after the 1968 season.
