Batalhão de Operações Policiais Especiais (BOPE) (Portuguese: [bataˈʎɐ̃w dʒi opeɾaˈsõjs poliˈsjajz ispeˈsjajs]; literally "Battalion of Special Police Operations") is the tactical police unit and gendarmerie of the Military Police of Rio de Janeiro State (PMERJ) in Brazil.
