Hey hey! I have read a few posts about Bloomingdales approvals, but nothing that quite fits my situation. I am thinking about applying for a Bloomies card. I am fine with starting with a low balance. But I am not sure if I have a chance of being approved. EX: 629. EQ: 664. TU: 689. income: 158,000.

Re: Macy"s, Bloomingdales credit card. I've never had a Macy's card but I've received decent CLI amounts ranging from 3-4K on my Bloomingdales. It grew from $400 to 25K in a matter of 26 months. Just got it upgraded to the AMEX version this past week. 05-31-2021 04:02 PM.
OP from what I understand you have to have a 700+ to get approved for the macy's amex or bloomingdales amex. I tried for the macy's amex and was denied. My CL for macy's is 7.5k but my credit scores aren't over 700. EQ: 610 TU: 615 EX: 625. Cap 1 Williams Sonoma Visa $3.5k limit, Walmart MC $2k limit, American Express Platinum $2K limit, Venmo ...
Just an update. Department Stores National Bank, which issues the Bloomingdale's Card, did indeed close the account because stopped using it. As I mentioned before, I paid it off. FYI: The analyst/customer service representative I spoke to back when I made this post said that the terms of closure were outlined in the Cardholder Agreement.
Another customer also once told me they've used both at either store. What was presented to you at the store was a Bloomingdales Visa. A visa card can be used anywhere. Bloomingdales store cards can only be used at Bloomingdales. Until Bloomingdales buy's Macy's it will always be that way. 0 Kudos.
