Carp have been given a bad name. Comes down to how they've been handled and prepared. I carry a small bag over my shoulder, three rods in one hand, two double rod holders , chair, and some worms for catching bait in my other hand. Bag has hooks, sinkers, swivels, small LED light, needle nose, scissors, filet knife, and a small fixed blade.

Some baits were never touched by cats, but the tutti fruiti always seemed to produce one or two small cats.

Also, because when many of the old quarries started to fill up the most common pioneer fish were bull head and a wide varriety of sunfish, chubs, and blue gill. So, by the time someone decided to through a catch of channel or flathead in the quarry these bull head, sunfish, chubs, and blue gill have already been thriving for years.

Only ended up with 1 blue right at 6 pounds, and one monsterous pull down that fought for about 2 seconds before burying in a tree in about 25 foot of water, and then breaking off.
