The ski area sat dormant for much of the 1990s, before reopening in 2002. The area currently offers hiking and dog walking and expert level enduro style mountain bike trails, a rope tow for alpine skiing and tubing and has terrain lit for night operations. While the area once sported a 600-ft vertical drop, only 120-ft are currently lift-serviced.

It appears that the vertical drop given on the Pats Peak website is incorrect.If you look at the USGS Henniker quadrangle (Acme Mapper is good because you can toggle back and forth between the topo map and the air photo), you will see that the base elevation is 590 feet (not 690), and the summit elevation is 1290 feet (not 1460), for a vertical drop of 700 feet (not 770).
Ragged Mountain has plans to develop into a four season destination. Over the past several years, tree cutting has been witnessed on Pinnacle Peak, adjacent to the main Ragged peak. Ragged officials say they plan to add at least 10 new trails and 60 acres of new skiing terrain but as of 2022 the work has not begun. [4]
