1 Boat. Posted March 17 (edited) Looks like one of two things may have happened. The shaft has spun inside of the axle housing as previously mentioned. Or and possibly recoverable, the torsion arm retention bolt and nut were not tightened correctly and the torsion arm spun on the axle shaft.

The oil bath hubs concern me as I'm unfamiliar with this system. I have talked to shops (auto parts & Les Schwab) and no one seems to know what I'm talking about.
Sorta impressive. Remember, if you slam one of shart boxes into a piling or the dock - you fix the boat with a belt sander, duct tape and some 5200. Hard to hurts something that ain't worth nothing. Seeing a big dollar sport fisherman being docked into tight spaces in nasty conditions is far more impressive IMO.
straight 50wt. You can get it at any auto parts store. I have an '05 trailer and changed the oil last year, only because two of the servicing port screws backed out and started leaking oil. If you decide to change the oil I found the best thing to pour the oil into the bearing hub is a mustard squeeze bottle.
Posted September 15. I know you’re asking about 2006, but my 2008 boat is on an 07, and it came with 14x7 with 235/60-14 radial tires when new. If you have this size wheels, a 205 tire won’t fit on the rim well. I made a move to a 15x5.5 rim with a 215/65-15 trailer tire. CaribbeanCruiser.

Posted February 18, 2009 (edited) Mine was junk, piss poor construction, lots of cracked welds, stupid engineering (especially the swing around tongue), noisy and squeaky, terrible braking system. I've had four trailers under bu's, Extreme, Ellis, V/M and DHM.
Well, the limitations with the size of the boat in conjunction with width limitations on the trailer give you only so much room for the boat, regardless of the brand. 102" is as wide as the trailer can be, so you're sort of stuck when the boat itself has a 100" beam.
Maintenance, Tech Info & Troubleshooting. Extreme trailer problem. So somehow on the right front wheel the coupler between the axle and the wheel has rotated up about 15 degrees. The wheel is now off the ground ans making contact with the underside of the fender.
Better call Extreme and he'll hit you at the same time . I had a wheel that was slooooowly leaking air. It didn't start until I'd owned the trailer for apx. 6 mos. Then it would go flat after about a week or so. When we put the wheel in water there was a pin size hole in a weld on the wheel. Extreme sent me another within a week, no questions ...
