Galion (/ ˈ ɡ æ l j ən / GAL-yən [6]) is a city in Crawford, Morrow, and Richland counties in the U.S. state of Ohio.The population was 10,453 at the 2020 census.Galion is the second-largest city in Crawford County after Bucyrus.
The original western split of US 30S and US 30N was in downtown Delphos at the current intersection of Main Street and Fifth Street, while the eastern split was in eastern Mansfield at the current intersection of US 42 (Ashland Road) and Park Avenue East. [7] By 1961, new highway construction resulted in both ends being moved.
SR 97 begins at the signalized intersection with SR 19, SR 61, and SR 309 in the city of Galion. SR 19 and SR 97 head concurrently to the east, as a two-lane highway passing through residential properties. The concurrency ends at a traffic signal, when SR 19 turns towards the south and SR 97 continues towards the east.

Crawford County is a county located in the north central portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 42,025. [1] Its county seat and largest city is Bucyrus. [2] The county was created in 1820 and later organized in 1836. [3] It was named for Colonel William Crawford, a soldier during the American Revolution. [4]
