Mytown was an Irish boy band formed in 1996 by Tony Dunne and Paul Walker. Mark Sheehan, Terry Daly and John Duffy were also members when the band first began. [1] They released one album, the epomynous Mytown and had a number of singles before splitting up in 2001, however Browne left before then after a falling-out with Louis Walsh citing irreconcilable differences.
For the first time, the band asked fans to send in videos of themselves singing to "My Town", playing guitar, bass, rhythm, or drums for the track, or performing in any way in their town or at landmarks to be included in the official music video. The band also released a brief teaser video explaining the details. Submissions closed on July 22.
